Wave Survival in First Person

Hold the Line: Tactical Defense is a 3D browser game played from a first-person view. Each run follows a repeating cycle: fight off a wave of opponents, then use a short preparation window to move through the area and collect supplies that spawn at random spots. Medical packs keep you fighting, ammunition lets you engage at distance, and scattered tools can repair defensive positions or set up temporary barriers. The forced pause between combat and scavenging creates a rhythm where quick decisions about which supplies to prioritize matter as much as aim. [IMG_1]

Supply Scarcity and Risk

Supplies do not regenerate between waves, so every item you pick up counts. Hoarding early can backfire if you take damage before later stages, while spending too freely leaves you exposed when tougher opponents arrive. Later waves bring more numerous and faster adversaries, some of which may flank your position or rush directly at you. Balancing immediate needs against long-term survival separates short runs from high scores. [IMG_2]

Difficulty Settings and Achievements

Three difficulty settings adjust opponent strength and supply drop frequency. Lower settings slow opponents and increase supply spawns, giving new players room to learn the layout. Higher settings reduce supplies and increase opponent speed and numbers, demanding precise aim and efficient movement. Twelve achievements track milestones such as surviving a set number of waves, collecting a certain amount of supplies, or completing a run on each difficulty level. [IMG_3]

Scoring and Global Competition

After each run, your score is calculated from waves survived and opponents defeated. That score is submitted to a global leaderboard visible to all players and updated in real time. Because the game runs entirely in a browser with no installation, progress is saved locally, making it easy to return for quick sessions and gradually improve your standing.
